FOSCO AMSTERDAM - LOGO DESIGN - 2023
The logo for Fosco was designed based on the request to reflect both the café’s identity and the architectural character of its location. Fosco is a neighborhood café in Rietlandpark, a place for food, drinks, and everyday gatherings. The café is located inside the historic Onsmettingsgebouw, a former disinfection building that once played an important role in Amsterdam’s public health infrastructure. The building is still open to visitors today.
The structure of the building became the main visual reference for the logo. By incorporating it into the mark, the logo aims to connect Fosco’s contemporary café identity with the history of the site and grounds the brand in its physical surroundings.
